1. Scope
These Registration Terms & Conditions govern registrations, participation, payments and related services associated with the activities organized within the framework of EERS — Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Research School ("EERS").
EERS is an independent academic and scientific initiative organized by an international network of researchers, experts, reviewers, and contributors.
Administrative and organizational coordination of the initiative is provided by ADALIA Institute.
By registering for an EERS event, participants acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Registration
Registration is considered complete only after:
- submission of the required registration information,
- acceptance of the applicable terms,
- and successful payment of the applicable fees where required.
EERS reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel any registration in cases involving:
- incomplete or inaccurate information,
- non-payment,
- inappropriate conduct,
- violation of applicable laws or conference policies,
- or circumstances affecting the integrity, safety, reputation, or proper organization of the event.
3. Participation Requirements
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they possess all requirements necessary for participation in EERS events.
EERS shall not be responsible for:
- visa refusals,
- travel restrictions,
- transportation issues,
- accommodation arrangements,
- personal expenses,
- or circumstances beyond its reasonable control affecting attendance.
4. Registration Fees and Payments
Applicable registration fees, currencies, deadlines, and payment conditions are specified on the relevant registration pages for each event or edition.
Payments are securely processed through third-party payment providers, including Revolut Business and Stripe where applicable.
Participants are responsible for:
- ensuring the accuracy of billing information,
- any applicable taxes, banking fees, or currency conversion charges,
- and compliance with local financial regulations.
A registration confirmation is issued electronically upon successful payment, together with an invoice and an invitation letter (PDF attachments).
5. Modification, postponement, or cancellation of events
EERS reserves the right to:
- modify schedules,
- change speakers or venues,
- adapt event formats,
- postpone activities,
- or cancel events where reasonably necessary.
Such decisions may result from:
- operational constraints,
- safety considerations,
- insufficient registrations,
- force majeure events,
- health situations,
- travel restrictions,
- technical incidents,
- or circumstances beyond reasonable organizational control.
In the event of cancellation initiated by EERS organizing team, participants may be offered:
- a refund,
- a credit,
- a transfer to another edition,
- or an alternative participation format,
at the discretion of the organizers and depending on the specific circumstances.
Neither the EERS organizing team nor ADALIA Institute shall be held liable for indirect losses, travel costs, accommodation expenses, visa costs, personal expenses, or other consequential damages incurred by participants in connection with event modifications, postponements, or cancellations.
6. Code of Conduct
Participants agree to maintain respectful, professional, ethical, and lawful behavior during all EERS activities.
Harassment, discrimination, abusive conduct, fraudulent activity, unauthorized recordings, disruption of sessions, or behavior likely to compromise the safety, reputation, or integrity of participants or organizers may result in:
- suspension,
- removal from activities,
- cancellation of registration,
- or restriction of future participation, without entitlement to refund.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither the EERS organizing team nor ADALIA Institute shall be held liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages,
- loss of data,
- technical interruptions,
- cybersecurity incidents,
- third-party service failures,
- personal losses or expenses,
- or circumstances beyond reasonable organizational control.
Participants remain responsible for:
- their own devices,
- internet access,
- travel arrangements,
- insurance coverage,
- and personal cybersecurity practices.
8. Personal Data
Personal data collected in connection with registrations and participation is processed in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy available on the platform.
By registering, participants acknowledge that certain professional and academic information may be used for:
- participant lists,
- conference programs,
- speaker profiles,
- certificates,
- networking activities,
- and institutional or scientific communication relating to EERS activities.
9. Applicable Law
These Registration Terms & Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with French law.
Any dispute arising in connection with registrations, payments, participation, or related services shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France.
